Jake Burger has always swung a heavy bat—but his new glove drop with BRUCE BOLT carries even more weight. We're introducing a limited-run batting glove that blends elite performance with empowerment for families living with disabilities.

Get to Know Jake Burger

Burger's rise began at Missouri State University, where he earned All-American honors and stood out as one of college baseball’s premier hitters. Selected in the first round of the 2017 MLB Draft by the Chicago White Sox, he overcame multiple achilles injuries over three difficult seasons to make his Major League debut in 2021.

He battled through adversity to reach the show—and his professional career since has been defined by both resilience and power.

When Jake steps into the box, the stadium speakers roll out the unmistakable opening riff of “Edge of Seventeen” by Stevie Nicks. It’s a nod to his old soul, his unshakable confidence, and the rhythm he brings to every at-bat. The song’s soaring energy mirrors the way he plays—fearless, focused, and with a touch of throwback swagger.

When I walk to the plate and ‘Edge of Seventeen’ by Stevie Nicks kicks in, it feels like home. It’s old-school, it’s gritty, and it reminds me to play with rhythm, swagger, and heart every single at-bat. Jake Burger

The Purpose Behind the Glove

Off the field, Jake’s daughter Penelope—who was born with Down Syndrome and triumphed through open-heart surgery—became the catalyst for the Burger Family Foundation, dedicated to inclusion, therapy, and emotional healing through ranch retreats.

As the only active MLB player raising a child with Down Syndrome, Jake changed his Rangers jersey to No. 21, a tribute to Trisomy 21’s extra chromosome. Shortly after, he homered with Penelope’s hospital band still around his wrist—merging personal triumph with on-field heroics.

Every sale of the Jake Burger Limited Run Signature Glove sends a portion of proceeds directly to the Foundation. And because purpose means showing up, BRUCE BOLT handcrafted and donated hundreds of lightning-bolt hats for Jake Burger Day, letting fans show their support in vivid Bolt blue.

Built for Sluggers, Crafted for Comfort

In line with the “Be Better” spirit, this glove is engineered from double-reinforced Cabretta leather and stitched by master craftsmen obsessed with every seam. The patent-pending stabilizing cuff locks in wrist support, while conical finger shaping delivers that coveted second-skin feel. It’s built to handle Jake’s elite exit velocities while disappearing on your hand—proof that performance doesn’t have to sacrifice comfort.

A Throwback Star, A Forward-Looking Mission

Jake lives the throwback athlete ethos: grit before flash, family above all. Partnering with BRUCE BOLT—a family-owned brand born from a teenage dream—was a natural fit. This is our first new product launch campaign built around a philanthropic foundation, and it was crafted with the same dedication, precision, and heart that define our gear.

The navy palette of the glove matches Jake’s Texas Rangers colors, punctuated by a discreet “21” lightning bolt to remind us why this drop exists. Quantities are capped—when they’re gone, they’re gone—but the legacy will outlast the season.
